Conference Policies

 

In Committee:

 

  • The use of electronic devices such as laptops and cellphones are not permitted inside the committee room while committee is in session. 

  • Pre-written resolutions are not allowed. Delegates found with pre-written resolutions will be disqualified from awards and may be expelled from the conference.

  • If delegates are found plagerizing position papers, resolutions, or anything else they will be disqualifiied from awards and the school's sponser will be notified. 

  • Delegates are expected to adhere to their nations/positions policy on the topics given. Deviation from policy may negatively effect a delegate's chance at awards.

  • Position papers are required to be elligible for awards. 

  • Delegates are to be respectful to other delegates and to the chair at all times.

  • Delegates must remain in their assigned committee rooms at all times while committee committee is in session.

 

General:

 

  • Western Business Attire is required at all times.

  • All school delegations must have at least one moderator for the duration of the conference and that moderator must be present during registration.

  • Delegates found bullying or harassing others will face appropriate diciplinary action.

  • Delegates who register for the conference are expected to attend. If drop-outs are not reported before the week of the conference, schools will still be expected to pay the delegate fee.
